Ukraine: Jungendliche lernen mit Aggression umzugehen
01 May 2010 The Non Aggression program (NAP), has been conducted in Ukraine since 2006. It is a four day course conducted for children between 8-15 years of age. The program comprises physical and breathing exercises together with techniques to cope with fatigue, aggressiveness and bad mood. The purpose of the program is to help children improve their memory, the quality of attention and lead them towards a healthy way of living by channelizing their energies better. Children are taught the importance of human values such as cooperation, friendliness, desire to help and deference through games and fun filled activities. The course is usually conducted in schools, camps, boarding schools and orphanages. So far over 5000 children and teenagers in Ukraine have participated in the program. Courses have been conducted in educational institutes in the cities of Donetsk, Zhitomir, Lvov, Uzhgorod, Odessa, Poltava, Kramatorsk, Slavyansk, Bilaya Tcerkva, Feodosija, Simferopol, Kerch, Alupka, Alushta, Saki and others. The courses are conducted by certified teachers of the Art of Living foundation. NAP has been received with much enthusiasm by the children, parents and teachers. More and more schools in Ukraine are looking to introduce NAP to the children. Feedbacks from children are the best results of this charitable program. “I liked the course very much. I became more flexible and strong in spirit! I learnt five keys. Everything we did on the course, I have never done before. I liked it very, very much.” - Dominika Zimokosova, 13 years “Usually school children have a lot of discipline but they don’t learn how to manage stress and handle aggression. That is why we have the program that helps children to control stress and negative emotions. By playing with children, we teach them how to work in a team, come to an agreement and stop violence. We have a common problem that children in schools are not friendly, they wrangle and fight with each other and divide into groups. Our training is supposed to unite them and show the results they can achieve together. In the beginning, they were noisy, some of them were active while others were passive, and this is a normal situation. At the third and fourth day, they relaxed and started to play easily. During active games, they forgot about their complexes. The training was interesting and they enjoyed it.” - Natalya Schulman, trainer of the Non-aggression program “I can say that now Denis has more balanced character. He is more responsible in his studies. He treats his parents lovingly and fondly. I asked him if he noticed any changes. He thought about it and answered: ‘Doing his written tests, I drop unnecessary thoughts and concentrates on the tasks.’ He feels more confident and always finds an understanding with his friends and classmates.” - Mother of Boyko Denis, NAP course participantSie befinden sich hier: > Medienberichte
